Prescription Drugs

PHC Florida covers all of the prescription drugs that Medicaid covers.  There are no copays and no deductibles when filled at network pharmacies.  The plan follows the Florida Medicaid Preferred Drug List (PDL) and its quantity and age limits(By clicking on this link, you will be taken to a website operated by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration and not PHC Florida.)

Certain prescriptions may have quantity limits.  Some may need to be approved by PHC Florida prior to being filled.  PDL shows which drugs have these restrictions.  Your primary care provider, other specialist or prescriber or pharmacist will work with the plan to get approval if needed.

Birth control, chemotherapy, and HIV/AIDS drugs do not count toward the prescription limits of the plan.  PHC Florida covers most HIV/AIDS prescription drugs.

And there’s more to PHC Florida.  Check out the plan’s expanded benefits.

The benefit information provided is a brief summary, not a complete description of benefits.  Limitations and restrictions apply.  Benefits, formulary, and/or pharmacy network may change.
