Filling Prescription Drugs

Getting prescription drugs filled through the plan is easy.  You can fill prescriptions at any AHF Pharmacy or CVS, or Dennis Pharmacy Plaza in Key West.  These pharmacies make up the plan’s pharmacy network.  The plan has contracted with AHF Pharmacy and CVS throughout Florida, and Dennis Pharmacy Plaza in Key West.  (By clicking on the links above, you will be taken to the AHF Pharmacy or CVS website.  AHF Pharmacy is operated by the parent company of PHC Florida, AIDS Healthcare Foundation.  The CVS website is operated by CVS and not PHC Florida.)

Remember, for the plan to cover your prescription, you must have a network provider write it.  The exception is if the prescription is from an emergency room visit.  Or it is from an urgent care visit.

To find a network pharmacy, go to Network Provider, Facility and Pharmacy Search.

If you need to fill a prescription and you are out of Broward, Miami-Dade or Monroe County, you can go to any AHF Pharmacy or CVS.  If no AHF Pharmacy or CVS is available, you may be able to fill your prescription at an out-of-network pharmacy.  Before you use an out-of-network pharmacy, contact Pharmacy Customer Service first.  We will check if there is a network pharmacy available.  If no network pharmacy is available, we will tell you what to do to.  Or we may arrange to have your prescription delivered to you from a network pharmacy

We follow the Florida Medicaid preferred drug list (PDL) and its quantity and age limits(By clicking on this link, you will be taken to a website operated by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration and not PHC Florida.)

If we made a coverage decision on a prescription drug and you or your doctor disagree, you can appeal.

More detail about the plan’s pharmacy benefit is in the Enrollee Handbook (effective July 1, 2018).

The benefit information provided is a brief summary, not a complete description of benefits.  Limitations and restrictions apply.  Benefits, formulary, and/or pharmacy network may change.
