PHP (HMO SNP) is a Medicare Advantage health plan with prescription drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries who have HIV and live in Los Angeles County, California. The plan is backed by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and its more than 30 years of HIV health care experience.
For 2023, PHP is rated at 4 stars by Medicare. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system.
PHP is the first Medicare plan in the nation that offers comprehensive benefits specifically for people living with HIV. Members get all of the regular Medicare benefits and more at no additional cost. Their prescription drugs, especially HIV medications, are also covered for very reasonable cost sharing.
