Important Message about Monkeypox
Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus. Monkeypox symptoms are similar to smallpox symptoms but milder. Monkeypox is rarely fatal. Monkeypox is not related to chickenpox.
Important Message about Coronavirus and COVID-19
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever or cough, please call your primary care provider (PCP). It is important not to come to the clinic until after you have been assessed by phone. This is for your safety and the safety of others. Your PCP’s phone number is on your member ID card. If your PCP’s office is closed, call our Nurse Advice Line at 1-888-993-2880.
PHP (HMO SNP) covers COVID-19 testing for no copay. If you are experiencing symptoms and want to be tested, you can contact your PCP for a referral or take a home test. Free home tests can be ordered at covidtests.gov. If you buy a home tests at a pharmacy or local retailer, you can submit a claim to get reimbursed by PHP.

PHP (HMO SNP) is a Medicare Advantage health plan with prescription drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries who have HIV and live in Duval, Broward or Miami-Dade County, Florida. The plan is backed by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and its more than 30 years of HIV health care experience.
For 2022, PHP is rated at 4.5 stars by Medicare. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system.
PHP is the first Medicare plan in the nation that offers comprehensive benefits specifically for people living with HIV. Members get all of the regular Medicare benefits and more at no additional cost. Their prescription drugs, especially HIV medications, are also covered for very reasonable cost sharing.
With membership of almost 1,500 in Florida, PHP is the right choice for Medicare beneficiaries living with HIV.
PHP is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). AAAHC is private, non-profit organization that develops standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality care, and value for health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education, and research.
