  • Southern California Fires and Flexibilities to Impacted Providers

    PHC California in accordance with DMHC APL 25-005 is committed to mitigating the impact of the recent wildfires to both contracted and non-contracted Los Angeles County healthcare providers.  For all providers that are displaced from their offices due to the Southern California wildfires, PHC California will:

      • Extend the duration of existing prior authorizations by 180 calendar days.

      • Extend the minimum timeframes for contracted and non-contracted providers to submit claims to at least 365 days from the date of services.

      • If the plan believes it overpaid a provider, extend the minimum time for the provider to dispute the overpayment from 30 working days to 180 calendar days.

      • Until September 19, 2025, allow displaced providers to deliver care from appropriate alternative settings, such as mobile clinics or temporary locations.
